Baby Basics relies on donations so if you are able to help out by buying or passing on any of the items listed for the Moses basket starter packs we; and all the new mums; would be extremely grateful. A few extra items in your shopping basket each week can change someone’s life.
Every item given away through Baby Basics is donated by someone in our local community and sorted by our team of volunteers. Our aim is for everything to be a gift showing care and love. Our most frequently requested items are Moses baskets, clothing, pushchairs, toys and toiletries. The full list of what we need is below:

(Good condition second hand items are acceptable from this category)

We also accept donations of equipment such as cots, slings, pushchairs and prams as well as good quality toys. These will be passed along to those in need via midwives, health visitors and other professional groups. Please liaise with each centre for details of what is accepted as the needs are different in different locations.
Please liaise with each centre before bringing items to donate to check that we can accept them and that someone is available to receive them.
NB – Unfortunately, we can’t accept donations of car seats, cot mattresses, breast pumps, stair gates and other safety equipment or electrical items. Items that we are unable to use maybe passed on to other local charities to assist them in their work.
In line with safe sleep advice given by health care professionals all cots and Moses baskets are given out with brand new mattresses.
